Hey D. First time to your site. I am a old man I lived through all the Van Halen years. I am also a dad. Eddy was and is the most influential guitarist ever. I grew up with Hendrix and the best of all time. The music and the song are fantastic 👏! Lyrics crippling and moving. My son was just a young boy when Eric Clapton wrote Tears In Heaven. I as a new dad I would have tears well up in my eyes every time I heard it. This video and the sadness and joy it brings because of the love between father and son is amazing! Wow, Wolfgang has a great voice!! I really like it. I lost my Father too this year, so this hit home for me. Being a huge fan of Van Halen, this song is so good to hear the legacy lives on not only in Eddie's music, but now we have Wolfie too, and I hope he continues his music career. It was a fresh sound for a VH. RIP Eddie. We all miss you!!

Wow. Being a Dad with 5 sons, this song and video really hits my heart. I sometimes imagined what it would be like for me if I lost one of them, but this makes me ponder what it would be like for them to lose me and that's somehow even more painful for me. Hey dragon force I think a big part of his popularity on his playing sound was his ideas to modify his guitar that gave him his sound then let’s plan ability to add to that which grew to the invention of the Wolfgang guitar I’m so glad I was able to see him in my high school days live I will never forget that concert Keep up the good work

Nothing to be "sorry" about here... Nothing "downer" about any of this Herman... It's life.. And should be beautiful! The man was a legend. He was a good father to a talented son. Friend of many. An inspiration to most. If anything, this shows that life is precious.. Short.. And can end when least expected. So, maybe some of us gotta contemplate spending more time with our loved ones. Every few moments that most of us take for granted, as we believe we'll get an abundance of chances. We just don't.. And we should be happy about, and hold on to every moment we have. Just my take on it. Thanks for sharing this Herman! I've been a fan of EVH for a long time, but for some reason, this video has eluded me. :/ So, really.. Thank you! That's a real touching video man it's a really touching song and I saw Van Halen when I was a kid they opened up a Black Sabbath and let me tell you something Van Halen blue Black Sabbath off the stage 1979 I know forget it it was when they first came out and 80 and all of them Dave touching his toes diving on the drum stand touching his toes doing at Christ's I never seen nothing like an Ozzy just stood there holding peace signs up and singing he was getting old but when Van Halen came out opened up the Black Sabbath they just blew Black Sabbath onto stage and I never forget it watching someone lay Daddy play for the first time is it 13 year old kid it was like a dream and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen

When I first listened to the song it was really powerful because my grandpa had passed a month before Eddie. I remember Eddie blowing me away when I first listened to him and it was my grandpa who introduced me to him. When both died i was overall just really confused. I was excited to see my grandpa for my birthday, but he passed 9 days before it.

Sobering to see our childhood guitar hero/idol being a gentle loving father to his only son. Just proves that no matter who your are or become in this life, how famous or wealthy, liked or loved, no matter how influential or powerful, there is nothing that can ever take the place of the love between a parent and a child and EVH was all of those things but most importantly he was a great dad to Wolfgang. Life has a way of putting things in perspective and teaching those of us willing to learn what is and what isn't important. God bless you Eddie, Valerie and Wolfie.
